Organized by ORTHOmaterials, this two-day symposium continues to follow the theme of "Meet, Exchange, Collide, Explore", presenting the most cutting-edge information of global orthopedic application materials to all the guests. There were more than 20 presentations covering orthopedic product regulations, testing, design and application of materials, processes, equipment and measurement. Dozens of exhibitors and hundreds of professionals from all over China gathered together to witness the event.

Evonik focuses on research: polyetheretherketone filaments for 3D printing of permanent surgical implants VESTAKEEP® i4 3DF is an extruded filament made from native-color, high-viscosity VESTAKEEP® i4 G polyetheretherketone (PEEK) resin. Biocompatible, biologically stable and radioactive, the filaments are produced under cleanroom conditions and meet stringent quality management standards for medical materials.

The APIUM M220 3D printer is a 3D printer designed for the manufacture of medical products and PEEK implants. Personalized orthopedic implants can be produced by 3D printing to meet clinical and scientific needs (material engineering, biological tissue engineering). Commonly used printing materials are VESTAKEEP® i4 3DF, VESTAKEEP® i4 3DF-T, etc. Medical PEEK materials have excellent mechanical properties and biocompatibility, and can be used in scientific research, material modification studies, and clinical permanent implant devices.
